heart once broken
can never be whole
heart which has known betrayal too well
can it ever know trust once more?
though it is said
"one can know not what light is,
without tasting what darkness can bring"
when one has been swollowed whole
by the darkness which the world holds
can he ever catch a glimse of whst light is?
